How the Ford F-150 pickup truck became the truck of choice for the modern age
When it comes to trucks, the Ford Explorer, Ford Explorer R and the Ford Focus are the most iconic trucks ever created.
But as a Ford employee, you could do worse than getting a Fire Truck to travel the highways of the United States, the company’s latest pickup truck, the Fire Pro.
The Fire Pro is a fully loaded Ford F150 pickup that can carry up to three people and carry up the weight of a pickup truck in just 4.2 cubic feet of cargo space.
It also comes equipped with a 16-inch screen LCD display that gives you a panoramic view of your surroundings while you’re driving, a 4-inch heated steering wheel, and four USB ports.
Ford’s Fire Pro pickup truck is equipped with four USB-A ports, a built-in Bluetooth 4.0 radio, and a 12-volt power outlet.
Ford also included a 5-inch touch-screen tablet, a 3-inch touchscreen infotainment display, and six remote controls.
It comes equipped to go the highway in 15 minutes and 35 seconds.
The truck is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 engine that produces a whopping 2,600 horsepower and 462 pound-feet of torque.
It can be operated with two front-wheel drive engines or a 4WD system with the optional F-100E transmission.
The engine can be configured to run either 3.5-liter EcoBoost or 5.0-liter turbocharged V8 engines.
Ford says that the Fire Truck can travel between 40 and 50 miles per gallon.
The Fire Pro was officially unveiled in September at the Detroit Auto Show.
Ford has also been releasing more of the Fire Trucks, starting with a Fire Trucker with a 7-inch display screen that can be attached to the Fire truck.
Ford said that the new Fire Truck will go on sale in 2020.
