Why did ‘toy-maker’ toy company Toya wrights her name in ‘The Hunger Games’?
A toy maker has become a symbol of the ‘toys-for-kids’ movement, with a line of toys that promote the movie-themed books.
Toys for Kids’ website announced that the toy line, called The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, will hit shelves in June.
The movie has sold more than 6 million copies and was a critical success at the box office, earning the company $1.3bn in revenue.
Toy-makers, whose products are often branded with their brand names, have used the films name in their own products, with Tofos selling a line called The Original Tofo, for example.
Tofos CEO, Paul Lai, said: ‘We are thrilled to announce The Hunger Game: Catch Fire, a new line of iconic toys for kids that we have been working hard on.’
The Hunger Game is our story, the Hunger Games is what we do, and we are so excited to be working with Tifos to bring this iconic brand of toys to life.’
I am really excited to share this with our fans and to our loyal customers who have been asking for it.’
Toys For Kids co-founder and CEO Tom Kostelnik said: We love The Hunger Gate, we love the Hunger Gate line and we love how it all came together.
‘Toys-For-Kids has a history of creating and selling toys that are so unique and innovative, and it’s a huge honour to be the first to launch a line with such a iconic name.’
We are proud to be partnering with a company that has such a history in the toys industry and the fans that love their products.’
Kostelnick said The Hunger Gates would be available to buy at retailers including Walmart, Best Buy and Target.
‘The line is designed to appeal to young girls and boys who want something different, something different and unique in a world that is so obsessed with ‘treatments’ and ‘tummy tucks’,” he said.’
In addition to providing them with a fun, unique toy, the Tofu Gates will also give them a way to celebrate the movie and its incredible themes of hope, bravery and hope.’
